Dave Roberts landed this beauty late this afternoon on his last cast down at Bridge Pool
".... I fished some of the high water pools using spinning tactics. Fly fishing just isn’t an option in these conditions. Some pools felt too big but all the time the colour seemed just about ok. I knew if I could just get the bait close to a fish, I’d have a chance.
With the light starting to fade I headed down to the Bridge Pool and waded along the wall. I got about half way down and decided it was time for one last cast, and that’s what I had.
The fish took very close to the inside where the water was slacker. It weighed 12lb. Not a huge fish by Ingestone spring standards but I can’t remember a more pleasing fish given the conditions...."
